NEW YORK, NY – January 17, 2023 – This month Cornerstone.IT marks its 20th anniversary of helping midsize law firms stay ahead of the technology curve. The company was co-founded in 2003 by CEO Jim Moreo and his late brother, Tommy Moreo, who passed away in 2021.

“My brother Tommy and I founded Cornerstone as a remote work company because we wanted to spend more time with our families,” says Jim Moreo. “We had been working with technologies that made remote work possible. The challenge was managing people remotely. Tommy went on to get his doctorate in organizational psychology because he understood that working remotely involved a human component. Thanks to the employee experience and engagement program he put into place, we now have a team of 45 members working remotely across the United States and the Philippines.”
Twenty years before the pandemic, the company was using and implementing remote access systems for customers. “When the pandemic hit, our clients had a smooth work-from-home transition because of the systems we had already put in place. Now with the rise of post-pandemic cybersecurity threats, a big part of our business is helping firms secure their data by implementing document management systems and cloud migrations,” says Moreo.
The company continues to service original clients. “That’s because we treat each of our clients like our only client,” says Cornerstone.IT Marketing Director Adriana Vitale.
